Portrait

I always like candid portraits I just like the reflected light in this one.

My first shot. I wasn't paying attention to my settings so this shot is really washed out but there is something about it that I just like.

Poor Trait

I liked these two portraits from yesterday.

Summer is Cool

Here are some of the pictures I took during the Summer. I liked quite a lot of the pictures I took, so it was sort of hard to narrow it down to just three. The fire works picture is from the 4th of July, and the other two are from Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado. Yup.

Summer Photos

This summer, I wasn't able to get out much- though I was able to snag a couple photos. This first one is my nephew practicing his bow and arrow skills. The second one is looking out from my sister's backyard. And lastly the third one is of my niece. Taking photos of little kids is not easy, but I enjoy taking pictures of them when they are occupied with something- so I don't get a cheesy smile/ awkward photo. All of the photos were taken in Quemado, NM. I actually really enjoy going out there since there is (literally) nothing but open space.

Summer photos

So, yeah, I took a few photos this summer. Got kinda lucky with a few of these, and they all need some editing+cropping+contrast work. But yeah...
This falcon was crazy! He just cawed really loudly and stayed there for about 2 minutes and stared at my brother and me.

Summer Photos

The three images I choose were from different parts of my summer. The photo of the marmot was from hiking up Hurricane Hills.Once I saw them I just started chase after them with my camera. The second one was from Fourth of July. And the third was from kayaking with the seals.

To me I was surprised I could get these shots. With the marmot, my only worry was hoping the snow did not cave under me and I'm surprised it didn't. With the Fourth of July one, getting any decent shot would of been great considering night shooting isn't always the best. Then there is the seal. Every other seal would swim away when I got closer except for this one. I was really surprised it just stayed there eating at the log the whole time Im taking pictures of it.

Just some landscapes I took while hiking in Sandias.

SIGGRAPH 2014 Images

Sometimes you can get some decent images from a smart phone camera. We were told at SIGGRAPH 2014 not to bring cameras to the convention so I left my SLR at home but did manage to capture a few decent shots with my smart phone. While the majority of work I do is related to Engineering Design I am in the process of moving towards high fidelity CAD image rendering, CAD animation, and 3D printing to bring life to drab solid engineering models created in programs like Solidworks and Creo. SIGGRAPH is a worthy organization to be a part of if you see yourself moving into a digital arts career.

While I really like working in the digital realm I really like working on personal projects in more traditional methods. It never hurts to unplug and just doodle. Below are a few SIGGRAPH doodles I made while waiting for panels to start.
