Panorama, Merge, HDR Images

Here are the images from class the other night. I am still having some issues with the merge but I think that had more to do with the pictures I took based on the process of merging the images.

Creative Assignment I

It never fails after a critique I always think of things I could have explained in more detail or things I could have done better. First off thanks for everyone's input on my images I really appreciate the feedback. Secondly please feel free to ask me about my thoughts on your work. I am not always the best at articulating on the fly in a critique. The last thing before I post my images I wanted say how much I enjoyed everyone's images I really like how everyone approached this subject differently.

I really wanted to explore the dark side of things in this first assignment. I guess this comes from watching way to much Addam's Family as a kid. Needless to say this image "Shadow" was inspired by the film Jacob's Ladder. I will probably re-work this image to bring back more detail. It's definitely supposed to be surreal and its more about confusion of mortality we all will eventually face.

"Plague" I was thinking just how susceptible we are as we become more global and the Ebola outbreak in Africa frightens me and makes me think of The Black Plague. Which we still have here in New Mexico so don't mess with any wild rodents dead or alive.

"Projekt I" This was simply an homage to H.R. Giger his passing this last year affected me more than I thought it would. His artwork expanded my world and made me realize that there are others out there who express their dark parts of the mind. Needless to say the first time I saw Giger's work it was before the internet and these days the dark art community is much larger than I ever thought.

"Multiple" This image while it sort of stands apart from the others (I was not blind to that fact) it is about how all of our lives are intertwined. I can't help but talk about the film and book Cloud Atlas here because I often wonder about what happens to us when we depart one life into another and how our actions now might affect that next life. I am not sure about reincarnation but if you think about the actions you make today and how that affects your children and children's children and so on and so forth it can get mind boggling. Just think about all the things your ancestors did or survived so you can be here today. Our DNA links us to the past and to the future and just maybe the energy that make us who we are transcends time and space.

Thanks for reading and good luck in the future assignments.
